Pain in the ass is right. I'll be looking forward to the new pics though.
Due to all of the snow/rain we've had lately, I had some water come into my basement. Some of you might remember the pics I showed when I finished my basement/toy room. I managed to get all of the water out of the carpet with a steamer vac.
Then I had someone come out for an estimate: installation of a sump pump=$1,250 which my insurance doesn't cover. However, they will cover the damage from water coming in the basement windows=$1,850. I fixed the windows myself and will use the insurance $$ to install the sump.
Now, none of this is the real pain in the ass, lol. Prior to them installing the sump and drainage lines, I have to move all of my figures: 5 bookcases and 3 large IKEA shelves of loose figures and all of my MOC LOTR/Spawn CC figures. That's over 1000 loose figures I have to move by FRIDAY. So far, I've moved 3 bookcases, 1 of the IKEA shelves and emptied a 2nd IKEA shelf.
Once they're done Friday, I have to move everything back and get the basement/toy room all in order for my Superbowl party the following weekend. And once I'm done rearranging, I'll post new collection pics, lol.

Insurace companies are generally stupid-
If you have a tree that's guaranteed to fall on your house they won't pay to get it removed-$$
Once the tree falls through your roof (usually during a storm) they'll pay to have everything fixed up-$$$$$$$$$$
Well see it from the bright side..you get a dusting oppertunety
Seriesly sorry to hear man but ..in the end its all worth it ..and sa sculpy Im looking forward to the pics

At least our house doesn't have the dust problem our apartment had. In the apartment I needed to dust every other month. In the house, it's been 7 months and there's just a little bit of dust on the shelves.
dusting?!?
aren't you married?
Sucks to hear man, but at least it sounds like nothing was too badly ruined.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Just some wet carpet that I dried. The insurance is gonna pay to replace it too. As far as figures go, only a couple carded LOTR figs that can be replaced fairly easily.Originally posted by TCM Hitchhiker:

All in all, it gives me a reason to dust, rearrange to make more room for down the road, and puts a lil $$ in my pocket.
Y'know, that was a design consideration...how good the color scheme would look with 6' of water...
